D.Ed. CounsellingSchool Education mMinister S. Sailajanath released the results of District Institutes of Education Training Common Entrance Test (DIETCET-2013) here on 18th June.

As many as 2,71,533 out of 4, 60,856 candidates cleared the test with a pass percentage of 53.63. All SC and ST candidates have been declared qualified as they need no qualifying marks to secure a rank. The OCs and BCs had to score at least 35 per cent for eligibility.


There are about 600 colleges offering D.Ed., also called Teacher Training Course (TTC), in the state with 35,000 seats. The education department will display the OMR sheets of all the candidates who took the exam on June 21 at dietcet.cgg.gov.in. The minister also released the tentative counselling schedule. The first phase of counselling would commence from July 10 and conclude on July 21, with the second phase from July 24 and concluding on July 31. Classes are scheduled to commence on August 1.
